On-Time Report

About On-Time Report

On-Time Report is an independent public-data reference site. It publishes the on-time record of US domestic air travel as the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS) records it: 5,365 routes, 342 airports and 14 reporting airlines, covering 21,106,487 scheduled flights from August 2023 to July 2026. Every route, airport and airline is set beside the national figures so that a percentage can be read in context.

What it is for

Travellers comparing flights and airports, travel writers, airport and airline staff and frequent flyers all use the same BTS files. BTS offers them as monthly downloads of several hundred thousand rows each. This site does the arithmetic once, in the open, and presents the result for each route, airport, airline and month: the share of flights that arrived on time, the average delay, cancellations, the causes carriers reported, and the hours of the day when flights ran to schedule.

What it leaves out

Funding

The site is free to read and funded by advertising that is clearly labelled. Advertisers and sponsors have no influence over which routes, airports or airlines appear or how their figures are presented. Sponsor placements, when present, are marked as sponsored.

Updates and corrections

The site is rebuilt daily and picks up each new BTS month when it is published. If a figure here differs from the BTS file it cites, the BTS file is authoritative: see corrections, the methodology and the data sources. To get in touch, use the contact page.
